The Tiny House survived the flood!
Now, we aren’t currently home in New Zealand at the moment. Ill post an update later about where we are and where we have been.
But as of now, Check it out:
When we purchased the land, We knew some of it floods in a “once in 20 year flood”. It’s part of being both lakefront and beachfront I guess. It is a trade-off. Thankfully there is a highpoint, because that is the point where the lake floods over the barrier to drain into the ocean. Well we have discovered that point.
My family is currently checking on the Tiny House as often as they can whilst we aren’t home. They went down to check out the Tiny House as New Zealand had one of the most rainy months on record and there was flooding across a lot of the area. Thankfully, we had about 30cm to spare between the high water line and our floor line.
Few…
There are other spots on our land where we could put the Tiny House further up, but I really like its current location. It is certainly looking a little sadder in the rain at the moment. But it will dry out in the Sun.
But just for a minute, I could have gone fishing off my deck.
Boy that was close:
