The hunt is on!
A bathroom. Ow my goodness a bathroom. I do not envy freedom campers. For the first time in nearly 2 weeks, we have a completely functioning, working, bathroom and shower. We have running water, both hot and cold. We have drainage, black water tanks, grey water tanks and even fresh water tanks with water collection. We have had an ass-load of rain which has shown there aren’t any leaks in the Tiny House (which is always nice).
Sorry I don’t have a lot of photos this week. Its been tedious to say the least. Most of my week has been sifting through forums and Facebook groups. Viewing different plots of land and talking to landowners. Its outrageous what some people decide to offer and charge for land. The worst offending post I found was someone offering land for a tiny house in exchange for about 20 hours a week help on a farm. The math isn’t adding on that one.
But, the search has been fruitful, because we have (tentatively) found land! About 20 minutes from our currently location is a wooded lot, with running water and power if we need it. Cheap too. We are preparing for the move, as it happens in about 5 days. That means emptying the Tiny House of all our possessions (to reduce weight), and ensuring all of the doors and opening windows are screwed shut.
I cant believe how lucky we were actually. The house is looking great. it has all the functionality of the house, just, you know, smaller.
So much rain:
