What a week! It requires so much physical effort to build a Tiny House. Framing and exterior cladding are heavy, complicated, and awkward.<\/p>\n
Working at heights, in the sun and everything else that comes along with it is draining. But, nonetheless, the Tiny House is coming along really well.<\/p>\n
The past few days, The frame was wrapped in weatherproofing. The roofing iron was cut and installed along the roof and one wall of the Tiny House. It was mostly temporarily put up. Windows still need to be cut, and trimmed around the doorways. We even managed to put some of the wood cladding up and amazingly, a few windows went in! I managed to smack my finger with a rather large sledge hammer, but a few Band-Aids and a bloody bandage later and it was done.<\/p>\n
We saved a lot of money on the wood cladding by buying standard 200mm (7.8″) wide wood and cutting the edges of them at a 45 degree angle using the table saw. This allows them to slot together and overlap to keep out water.<\/p>\n
